Ögat är en Talisman inom många religioner. För mig är ögat centralt och starkt kopplat till mitt intresse för historia. Utan att zooma in i historien hade jag inte hittat min första anmoder i Sverige, Rebecka Pearl Neuberg. “Berta” mest burna brosch föreställer ett öga och för att återskapa min första kopia på det var jag tvungen att gå tillbaka i tiden och lära känna Berta. Ögat är den mest universella och tidlösa berlocken samtidigt som det är den mest personliga för mig.
The eye is used as a Talisman in many religios. For me, the eye is central in this collection and strongly connected to my interest in history. Without an attentive eye i would never had discovered my first ancestor in Sweden Rebecka Pearl Neuberg “Berta”. Her most worn brooch imagined an eye. And I had to get to know her to recreate that eye. The eye is the most universal and human charm, at the same time the most personal charm in the collection.
